How long does the battery last on each item?
They’re all rechargeable, and each one is built for how often you’d use it. The Tracking Card PRO runs up to 8 months per charge, the Luggage Tag up to 1 year, and the Passport Cover up to 3 years. The included Wireless Charger tops up all of them, and you can check the exact battery level any time in the Find My app.
Do I need to charge everything before a trip?
Not usually. Because each item lasts months or years on a charge, most people top everything up once and forget about it. The card shows a colour-changing LED while charging, and a full charge takes about 1 to 2 hours for the card and around 4 hours for the Passport Cover.
Can I put the Luggage Tag in checked luggage?
Yes. These use a low-capacity lithium battery under 1 Wh, which complies with most international airline standards. A small number of airlines restrict active trackers in checked bags, so it’s worth a quick check of your airline’s policy before you fly.
Does it work abroad?
Yes, anywhere the Apple Find My network reaches, which is most of the world. There’s no roaming charge and no subscription, because it uses nearby Apple devices rather than a SIM or mobile data.
