How do the Spotminders trackers work?

Each Spotminders tracker connects to the Find My app on your iPhone. Once paired, you can see your item's live location, play a sound to find it nearby, or enable Lost Mode. If your item ever goes missing, nearby Apple devices automatically and securely relay its location back to you.

Are Spotminders trackers compatible with Android?

Currently, Spotminders devices are optimized for Apple's Find My network. Android compatibility is being explored for the future.

What is the difference between the Tracking Card and the Tracking Card PRO?

Both deliver precise tracking but differ in design. The Tracking Card features the original minimal design, while the Tracking Card PRO looks exactly like a credit card. Both are only 1.8mm thin, making them nearly invisible in your wallet.

What is the difference between the Spotminders Tracking Card and Apple AirTag?

Both connect to Apple's Find My network, but they are designed for different purposes. The AirTag is round and best suited for keys or bags. The Spotminders Tracking Card is flat and 1.8mm thin, designed to blend into your wallet or passport cover where an AirTag cannot fit. If you prefer sleek, discreet protection, Spotminders is the smarter choice.

Is the Tracking Card waterproof?

Yes. Rated IP67, it remains fully functional after being submerged in up to 3 feet of water for 30 minutes.

Does the Tracking Card work with RFID-blocking wallets?

Yes. Spotminders trackers use Bluetooth and Apple's Find My network, not RFID, so RFID-blocking wallets will not interfere with performance.

How do I set up my Spotminders tracker?

Yes. In the Find My app, tap your Spotminders device and select Play Sound to locate it instantly.

Tap Items in the bottom navigation.

Do not open Settings. You will not find “Add Item” there.

You are ready when the Items screen is open.

Try these steps:

Make sure you're using the Find My app, not Settings.
Turn Bluetooth on.
Update your iPhone to the latest version of iOS if available.

Still not working? Restart your iPhone and try again.

Instructions

On the Items screen, Tap the + button.
Then tap Other Item.
Keep your Passport Holder Air close to your phone while Find My searches.

Success

Continue to Step 3 while Find My searches.

Instructions

Locate the power button in the bottom-right corner.
Press it firmly until you feel a physical click.
Keep holding for 5 seconds and release when you hear the startup melody.
When Passport Holder Air appears, tap Connect.
Follow the on-screen instructions to finish setup.

Try these steps:

Press the button firmly for five seconds.
You should feel a physical click and hear the startup melody.
If nothing happens, place the Passport Holder on a wireless charger for 15–30 minutes.
Try turning it on again.

No startup melody? Press the button twice very quickly. A short sound confirms the Passport Holder is on.

Heard the melody, but the Passport Holder does not appear in Find My?

Reset the Passport Holder and try again. See how to reset it. Then try pairing it again.

Open your Passport Holder inside Find My.
Tap Play Sound.
Confirm your Passport Holder makes a sound.
Confirm its location appears on the map.
Slide only the back cover of your passport into the holder.

Using your Passport Holder Air

Learn what the feature does and how to set it up.

Get alerted when you walk away without your Passport Holder Air.

Open Find My and select Items.
Select your Passport Holder Air.
Scroll to Notifications.
Tap Notify When Left Behind and switch it on.
Under "Notify Me, Except At", add home or other trusted locations where alerts are not needed.

Share your Passport Holder Air with family

Share access when another person may carry the item. This helps them locate it and prevents unnecessary alerts.

Open Find My and select Items.
Select your Passport Holder Air.
Scroll to Share Item and tap Add Person.
Select the family member and send the invitation to the Apple ID they use for Find My.
Ask them to accept the invitation in their Find My app.

You must share it with another person's Apple ID. You cannot share it with the Apple ID that already owns the Passport Holder Air.

The Passport Holder Air is not a live GPS tracker. Its location updates when a nearby Apple device detects it.

Open Find My and select Items.
Select your Passport Holder Air
Check the location and the "last seen" time shown on the map.
If it has not updated, wait and check again later.

Updates happen more frequently in busy areas and take longer in quiet or remote locations. This is normal Find My behaviour.

Use this when the item is nearby but not visible.

Open Find My and select Items.
Select your Passport Holder Air.
Tap Play Sound.
Follow the sound to locate the item.

Your Passport Holder Air arrives pre-charged and ready to use for 3 years.

Place the back of your Passport Holder Air down on the wireless charger, lining up the lightning icon with the centre of the pad. You'll hear a beep once it connects.
The LED sits inside the cover, next to the power button. It turns red when charging and green once fully charged.
Remove your Passport Holder Air once charging is complete.

Placement: make sure the back tab is facing down on the charger. You'll hear a beep when it's positioned correctly. Inside the cover, red light means it's charging and green means it's fully charged, usually around 3 hours for a full charge.

Your Passport Holder Air uses Apple's Find My network. An unwanted-tracking alert can appear when an unfamiliar Find My item seems to be moving with someone.

Open the alert on your phone.
Tap the option to play a sound and locate the item.
If you do not recognise it, follow the safety instructions shown by Apple.

The Passport Holder Air connects through Apple Find My and must be set up using an iPhone or iPad. Once paired, you can track it from any Apple device signed into the same Apple ID, including iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It is not compatible with Android.
